Hallo,

ein guter Freund von mir aus Brighton verkauft seinen Florida.

Vielleicht hat ja hier jemand Interesse.

Hier sein Text:

For sale: 1989 VW LT 28 Westfalia Florida £15,000

We have owned ‘Flo’ for 5 years now, having originally brought her back from Munich ourselves. We have loved her dearly, traveled far and wide in her and seen the kids grow up around her. She's a 1989 on a ‘G’ plate, MOT'd until Feb 2021 (she generally flies through the MOT).

She has the D24 turbo diesel 2.4 1G engine with a 5 speed box, rear wheel drive and power steering. She has 120W of solar & an inverter to run off-grid as long as you need to.

Flo had an engine rebuild at 343,000kms (Sept 2017) including the fitting of a brand new cylinder head and all ancillaries which included oil & water coolers, timing belts, thermostats and seals, all done by a local VW garage and LT specialist.

It's a Westfalia camper so there's a huge spec!

- 6 belted forward facing seats;
- Captains cab chairs with arm rests;
- Rear seat covers protecting original fabric;
- Dinette with twin rock and roll seats, the front one of which flips and runs on rails to face either way;
- 4 berth: double rock and roll bed downstairs and big double (156 cm x 197 cm) pull out bed in the high top - the biggest bed you will find in any campervan;
- Loads of storage, including a wardrobe, numerous cupboards and lockers of different shapes & sizes;
- 2 burner hob;
- Sink with hot and cold running water, 100lts fresh and 10lts hot and 70lt waste tank;
- Yes she has a shower room! It's a fully monocoque wet room. All original - taps, sink, shelves, etc. Comes with a porta potti designed to fit into the recess and still has the original leather straps to stow it out of the way;
- Original thermostatically controlled underfloor mounted Eberspacher 2300 WE diesel blown hot air space heater, fully working;
- Original hot water heater, fully working;
- Original Electrolux fridge (LPG, 12v & 240v - the latter of which it does not function on currently);
- Underslung LPG tank with EU & UK adapters and an outlet for outdoor cooker;
- 2x 90amp leisure batteries, with original 240v battery charger and split charge relay;
- 240 Volt external hook up with internal outlet socket and safety trip cut out;
- Original fluorescent tube lighting. Flexi neck map reading lights in lounge and kitchen;
- Rear control panel showing read-outs or fresh water tank levels and leisure battery level;
- A windout Omnistor 3.75m awning above the sliding door complete with Omnistor Safari Room which really needs to be seen to be believed and provides a bigger floorspace than the entire van itself. You could park a car in it!
- Giant top box that is so useful for all sorts of camping kit (including that awning);
- 2 bike bike rack;
- Tow bar;
- Ladder on rear door to access the roof;
- Rear outdoor shower fitting and original shower hose;
- Secret cubby storage (accessed from sliding door)

Speedo now shows 350,000kms, 10,000 of which are since the engine rebuild, so now effectively driven-in.

Modifications:
- She has a 3" lift kit fitted with 15" powder coated steel wheels and BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres with raised white lettering. She also has uprated front coil springs and an extra chunk & leaf in the rear suspension;
- LED strip lighting throughout, including auto-on/off cupboard lights throughout;
- The kitchen sink tap has been replaced with a modern Reich mixer tap;
- Victron 240v inverter;
- 120w solar panel & charge controller with twin battery capability;
- Cab library!
- Cab spotlights;
- Brackets to mount dinner table to cab ceiling;
- Curtains across the back of the cab;
- Curtain for the sliding door;
- All curtains with added blackout material;
- Heavy duty rubber backed carpeted floor matting throughout;
- Subwoofer under drivers seat;
- Cab CD head unit with (original?) equaliser;
- Camper (rear) CD head unit with separate rear speakers;
- Sound deadening all round cab floor, in doors and under engine hump.

The body work is exceptional for a van of this age. What little rust spots that do exist have not changed in the 5 years that I have owned her. Just recently we gave the front panel some professional treatment including a respray. General good condition for her age.

She's just under 5m long so easy enough to park in a regular car parking space (when you know her boundaries). She's tall at 3.4m but the uprated springs help with stability greatly. She's not quick but then none of the series 1 LT's were. However she has the fastest rated rear axle and will cruise very nicely above 60 on the motorway.
